Troubleshooting the Chrome Extension

The Chrome Extension lets you text your customers using Zipwhip from within your CRM. If the Chrome Extension is not working as expected, please use these steps to troubleshoot it. Each step is broken down into more details below.

  1. Uninstall the extension
  2. Clear your cache and cookies in your browser
  3. Remove any extensions you are no longer using (in case they’re causing instability within the browser)
  4. Restart your computer
  5. Install the Zipwhip Chrome Extension again

Uninstalling the Chrome Extension

To the right of your address bar, look for the orange Z icon for the Zipwhip Chrome Extension. Right click the icon and select Remove from Chrome.
Clear cache and cookies

  1. Open Chrome
  2. Click the three vertical dots in the top right corner to open the More menu
  3. Click More tools
  4. Click Clear browsing data
  5. Select All time
  6. Check the boxes for “Cookies and other site data” and “Cached images and files”
  7. Click Clear data

Don’t forget to restart your computer before installing the Chrome Extension again.
Installing the Chrome Extension

  1. Open Chrome
  2. Go to the Zipwhip page in the Chrome Web Store
  3. Click Add to Chrome
  4. After installation is complete, sign into the Chrome Extension using your Zipwhip login credentials
