How to Edit Find Me Follow Me

Use How to View Extensions to get to the screen below.

Now Click the Paper/Pencil icon of the extension you would like edit. You should get the screen below.

Click on the "Find Me/Follow Me" tab to get the screen below.

To add or adjust Find Me/Follow Me fill out the appropriate options:

  • Enabled
    • Toggles whether the FMFM will work or not
  • Initial Ring Time
    • Sets the amount of time a call will ring before trying the "Follow-Me List"
  • Ring Strategy
    • There are 7 different Ring Strategies. (ringallv2-prim should be used 90% of the time)
  • Ring Time
    • Sets the amount of time a call will ring before it is considered not answered
  • Follow-Me List
    • List of Extensions or External numbers to try after the Initial Ring Time elapses.
    • External numbers (including cell phone and landlines) need to include the 1 and area code plus a # at the end.
      • Example: 14235098000#
  • Announcement
    • An optional Announcement to be played before trying the Follow-Me List
  • Play Music On Hold
    • Allows music to be played instead of the ringing.
  • CID Name Prefix
    • Prepends a value to the Caller ID when trying the Follow-Me List.
      • This generally only shows internally on the PBX.
  • Alert Info
    • Allows the call to use a different ring tone then a normal call.
    • Must be supported by the phone. Does not work for external numbers.
  • Ringer Volume Override
    • Allows the Ringer Volume to be Overridden.
    • Must be supported by the phone. Does not work for external numbers.
  • Confirm Calls
    • Announces options to the External Numbers on the Follow-Me List.
    • This is used to stop the Voicemail of an external number from answering a call.
  • Mode
    • 5 different options for sending Caller ID to the external number.
    • Main options are:
      • Default: Sends the Inbound Caller ID to the external number
      • Fixed: Sends the same Caller ID no matter the number that called.
      • Dialed Number: Sends the Dialed Number to the external number.
  • Fixed CID Value
    • The field for setting the Fixed CID Value.
  • No Answer
    • Sets the destination for a call that goes unanswered.
    • This defaults the extensions Voicemail. But, can be changed to anything.
